We look forward to welcoming attendees to Brisbane on October 24-26.
It is your sole responsibility to ensure that you have all the travel documents necessary to enter in, or transit through, each country on your itinerary. Please ensure you verify the requirements for each country as the required documents for the outbound portion of your travel may differ from those required on the return.
Getting a Visa
Explore visa options for visiting
Looking at visa options for you or someone else? Follow this link: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-finder/visit .
Apply for an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA)
All ETA-eligible passport holders must apply for an ETA using the Australian ETA app. For more information visit: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/electronic-travel-authority-601.
There is a service charge of AUD20 to use the Australian ETA app. There is no other charge payable for an ETA.
If you are unable to use the app, you can apply online through ImmiAccount (see below) for another visa that suits your needs. European passport holders may be eligible for an eVisitor (subclass 651)
Visa Processing Time
Processing on-hand visa applications is a government priority. In most instances, we have reduced the time it takes to finalise visa applications. See: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-processing-times
Fees and Charges for Visas
The visa application charge is the amount of money in Australian dollars (AUD) that must be paid for a visa application. For more information visit: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/fees-and-charges
ImmiAccount
You can apply online for an Australian visa through ImmiAccount. We will also send requests for more information to your ImmiAccount.
Using ImmiAccount you can:
- access information about your application
- track the processing of your application
- update your contact details and other information.
To help process your application as quickly as possible:
- make sure you consent to receive electronic communications. Regularly check your inbox for emails, including your junk mail.
- if another person helps you apply for your visa, the application must include your personal contact details. If your contact details change, update them in ImmiAccount so they can get in touch with you.
- make sure you can access your own visa application. You can ask your family member, migration agent or lawyer to ‘share’ the application with you.
- keep your information secure, including your ImmiAccount password.
- after you submit your application check your ImmiAccount regularly. If you respond to our requests quickly, you will get a faster visa decision.
